Essex Record Office
The County Council also maintains and conserves a significant archive of records and information about the county, which is held in the Essex Record Office. The Essex Record Office is a valuable resource for anyone who wishes to research their family history or the history of a building within the county, and the Seax database enables people to see if the documents they wish to view are held by the Essex Record Office, although Seax does not contain complete copies of the documents themselves.
